From strengthening the company鈥檚 mission through idea generation to identifying and mitigating risks鈥攈is contributions to 香蕉视频 have been vast. How Dan Supports 香蕉视频鈥檚 Mission
In his interview, Dan discussed how his role fits into how our legal team supports our mission. His role as senior counsel allows him to collaborate with many different teams at 香蕉视频, which is one of the aspects of his work that he enjoys the most.聽
For example, Dan helps our Partner Relations Team negotiate 香蕉视频鈥檚 school agreements. 鈥淭hese school agreements bring more schools to the platform, which ultimately, gives students more options,鈥� he shared. By expanding the platform’s offerings via school agreements, 香蕉视频 is also breaking down barriers and making global education more accessible and inclusive.聽
He also works with the Strategic Partnership teams, to share more value-added services with our students, as well as our Sales Team, using promotions to encourage more recruitment partners to join us. Dan’s dedication to enhancing our platform and fostering valuable partnerships ensures that 香蕉视频 continues to provide the best resources and opportunities for our students, recruitment partners, and partner institutions, contributing to the growth of the global education community.
A Perfect Match
As soon as Dan saw the opening for the Senior Counsel role, he knew he鈥檇 be the perfect fit. He said, 鈥淚 have first-hand experience being an international student and working with an RP. Before 香蕉视频, I worked at an international edtech company for five years.鈥� He went on to say that 鈥渨hen I saw the position at 香蕉视频, it really felt like it was written for me, and the rest is history.鈥� We couldn鈥檛 agree more!
Advice From a Former International Student
Ten years ago, Dan headed down under to obtain his law degree in Australia. We jumped at the opportunity to ask Dan, as a former international student, for some advice. His first recommendation is to 鈥渟imply just do it. Research what you’re interested in and where you want to study.鈥� Research is crucial, and as you delve deeper into your interests and study abroad options, you’ll find a world of opportunities.
His second piece of advice is to get out of your comfort zone while studying abroad. Dan did this by participating in extracurricular activities. He shared that 鈥淚 joined a lot of clubs while I was at university in Australia and it helped me meet new people and try new things.鈥� Embracing extracurricular activities not only enriches your study abroad experience but also opens doors to cultural immersion and personal growth. As you step out of your comfort zone, you’ll discover a broader perspective of the world and create lasting memories with new friends along the way.
